Slab leak detection in Wyoming, Ohio

Slab leak detection in Wyoming, Ohio was part of an in-slab hydronic heating system. While slab leaks are challenging, they’re even harder when you can’t evacuate the system with compressed air and/or add helium for helium tracing. I was limited to walking around the entire first floor of the home listening with my sonic listening equipment. While this doesn’t sound difficult, it was quite “interesting” because there were four different flooring types throughout the home. The Foyer, Kitchen, Office, Office Closet and bathrooms all had marble or ceramic tile and the bedrooms either had hardwood on a raised platform or carpeting. Trying to differentiate the sound between floors was mind boggling. Luckily, I found the leak in the last room in the house, the office closet, which had ceramic flooring. The slab leak was confirmed by the additional heat registering at the point of the most sound. Thank God for that additional confirmation!! My client called the next day to say the ‘X’ was dead on! Another satisfied customer!! Thanks to Cliff Schaller Plumbing and HVAC for the call!
