Water line leak in Florence, Kentucky

Water line leak in Florence, Kentucky involved a water meter in the middle of the front yard with the water service entering the home in the middle of the yard. Should have been a straight shot from meter to house, but no, the water line ran 15 ft over, to under the driveway, which was where the leak was! The only clue was that the ground was soaked adjacent to the driveway, but it made no sense at all that they would have run the water line that far out of the way! After listening and not finding any sound in the straight shot to the house, I checked the area by the driveway and finally found the sound peak next to the driveway and walk. After running the air compressor, there were bubbles coming up, indicating the leak was next to the driveway. Water line leak solved! Jobs like this, while challenging, remind me that if all leaks were easy, water line leak detection wouldn’t be necessary!!
