Pipe leak detection in Amelia, Ohio: Jolly Plumbing called requesting pipe leak detection for two lines at an apartment complex in Amelia. The first one was very peculiar. It was a 3/4″ plastic line that generated a tremendous amount of noise inside the house. After reviewing the interior and exterior, I was finally able to find the pipe leak, which was actually outside, 10 ft out from the foundation wall! There was no way to shut off the water for the plumber to fix the leak from the main to the meter as the entire apartment complex only had a valve at the meter! Due to the constraints of this job, I was not able to run compressed air and helium tracer gas. Despite that, according to Wayne at Jolly, the locate was good!
