Underground Water Leak in New Richmond, Ohio

Underground Water Leak in New Richmond, Ohio

I was called out to an underground water leak in New Richmond, Ohio. The job involved a 3/4″ polyethylene water line running from the house out a horse barn. The owner had been turning the water on a little bit at a time to reduce water loss as there was a considerable leak in the line. The water line wound around a garden and up through a wooded area next to a gravel driveway. The leak turned out to be in a garden along the way. It was very difficult to find as the job was on top of a hill overlooking the city of New Richmond and there was a very stiff breeze the whole time. I finally found it using helium along with the electronic helium detector, then back to listening. One more underground water leak detected!
